The Deathlayer rare chicken breed originates from Germany and they come in two colors: gold and silver. Both of which have been imported with care by Greenfire Farms as a preservation method for this species. They’re so rare, they don’t have an entry on Wikipedia. Imagine that!
Gold Deathlayer chickens are beautiful and colorful. The roosters are especially well dressed in their fine comb and front, back, and cape feathers. The Gold Deathlayer is always ready for a fancy event with its iridescent black tail feathers. Deathlayer chickens are always dressed to impress.
Deathlayers are soft, docile, and active. Their tight comb makes them perfectly adaptable for our weather in the Midwest. They love to forage for their food as well. They love their daily walks around your urban farm and – just like you – don’t like being cooped up all day.
Since Gold Deathlayers lay 290 eggs annually, that’s enough to make 2,320 pancakes every year! Now, that’s a lot of pancakes.
